open-access.network - Project details
open-access.network - competence and networking platform in the field of Open Access
The open-access.network project creates a new information and networking service that will activate existing initiatives and link them on a national level, as well as sustainably improve the exchange within the scientific community on Open Access. Information on the topic of Open Access will be made available centrally and reliably across all disciplines. Newly created, freely accessible materials, further education and training courses will further qualify actors and multipliers in science and libraries and convey competencies on practical, organisational and legal issues.
Information, competence sharing and networking
The three central goals of the project are the provision of information, the transfer of competences and the networking of the existing community. Over the next three years, the project partners want to create a new platform that provides information on central topics with many new offers such as a forum, helpdesk, moderated focus groups and new databases. Barcamps, theme-based workshops, regional networks, train-the-trainer bootcamps and online seminars will be used to connect the OA community and stakeholders from science and academia. The new platform will build on the existing information platform open-access.net and will be further developed.
