Getting to know the library: Library Tours in English

To help you find your way around the Central Library and make the most of your visit here, we offer a digitally guided library tour.

This tour is mainly targeted at everyone new to the university.
It is also recommended to take a library tour prior to participating in our courses on introduction to research.

This interactive tour is designed to introduce you to our services, explain how to borrow and return materials, and guide you through the reading rooms and study areas.

There is no need to schedule your visit. The tour takes approximately 30 minutes, and you can take it any time during our opening hours. It is very simple, all you need is a mobile device (smartphone, tablet etc.):

• Download the free Actionbound app on your device
• Click ‘Find a bound’ and search ‘SUB Göttingen: Getting to Know Your Library’
• Start the tour

Please note that the study carrels cannot be booked by private visitors, even though this option is mentioned in the tour.
